A catalytic converter shield for your 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma. Crafted out of 1/4" 5052 aluminum or 3/16" steel, making it an ideal cat theft deterrent and an off-road skid plate. It's an all-in-one design concept! This design boasts a heavy duty shield that runs from crossmember to crossmember with added attachments for additional catalytic converter protection.
Caution: Will fit the 6-lug 2WD Pre-runner, but will not fit the 5-lug 2WD Base model.
Note: On 4-cylinder models, this plate will only cover the front catalytic converter.
Fitment
- Designed to fit the V6 and 4-cylinder Tacomas years 2005-2015.
- Caution if you have a 4-cylinder Tacoma: Will fit the 6-lug 2WD Pre-runner, but will not fit the 5-lug 2WD Base model. Fitment has NOT been confirmed on the 4-cylinder Tacoma with a 4x4 drivetrain. On 4-cylinder models, this plate will only cover the front catalytic converter.
- Select the appropriate drivetrain prior to adding to your cart
- Ventilation holes to keep temperatures down around the transmission
- Mounts into pre-existing holes from the factory
- Not compatible with lift kits that require subframe modifications (usually lifts greater than 3 inches)
- Compatible with a manual transmission
- In some instances, there may be a tab on a preexisting OEM/TRD skid plate that will need to be bent slightly to allow the transmission shield to slide into place. This does not impact the integrity of either shield

Material
- Aluminum: CNC Laser Cut out of 1/4" 5052 Aluminum - Will not rust!
- Ships as bare metal
- All aluminum plates ship uncoated as bare metal, some cosmetic blemishes may be present on material upon arrival. Displays in pictures have been polished and finished.
- Steel: CNC Laser Cut out of 3/16" steel. Powder coated in a black wrinkle finish
Installation
- Mounts into pre-existing holes from factory
- Bolt in installation, no drilling required, can be performed by anyone with basic hand tools
- Some trucks may have a tab on the OEM skid plate that needs to be cut or bent out of the way for installation.
